Here is a time line of my adoption process, so you can see all the million steps it takes to adopt a child:

March 9, 2005 Get the call from Adoptions Together that they have a space for a single woman this year!

March 17, 2005 Mail initial application to Agency.

April 6, 2005 Mail signed contract with 1/2 the agency fee.

May 4, 2005 1st Homestudy visit.

May 17, 2005 Mail in I-600A

May 18, 2005 Second Home Study Visit

May 27, 2005 Receive receipt from Homeland Security, my I-600A in system!

May 31, 2005 Third Home Study Visit

June 12, 2005 Fourth and Final Home study visit (at my house)

June 14, 2005 Physical

June 17, 2005 Criminal Back Ground Checks done

July 1, 2005 Mail all the letters of referral to my social worker so she can finish up my home study report.

July 2, 2005 Received notification of appointment to be fingerprinted.

July 20, 2005 Fingerprinting in Charlotte

July 21, 2005 First major Freak Out!!

Aug. 9, 2005 Receive Draft of Home Study Report

Aug. 12, 2005 Receive 171H Approval WOO HOO!

Sept 15, 2005 Receive final FINAL copy of Home study. I can't belive it took that long!
